ISLAMABAD: China says it maintains a clear cut position on the Kashmir issue and all cooperation between Beijing and Islamabad including the recently introduced bus service has nothing to do with the territorial dispute.
This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Friday in his press briefing in Beijing.
A private Pakistani transport company has recently launched a bus service from Lahore to the Chinese city of Kashgar via Islamabad.
The spokesperson said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an economic cooperation project between the two countries.
He said that it is not targeted against any third party, it has nothing to do with the territorial dispute and it will not affect China’s principled position on Kashmir.
