ASP Faryal Farid becomes first lady police officer to receive ‘Sword of Honour’

ASP Faryal Farid has become the first lady police officer to receive the ‘Sword of Honour’ in the history of Pakistan police.

The sword is awarded to the best police officer, who clears all the tasks with flying colours after the training at National Police Academy comes to an end.

The Interior Minister of State Shahryar Afridi was the chief guest at the 44th passing out parade of the Assistant Superintendent Police (ASP) at the academy.

Addressing the ceremony, the minister stated that it is an honour for him to be at the parade and he is very happy that 29 ASPs including seven female police officers are passing out after completion of their training.

Meanwhile, Usman Munir was awarded best in firing, Saddam Hussain was awarded best in the parade, Ali Raza was given the award of best in physical training and Dr Anam Faryal got the academic distinction award.
