Bilawal holds open meeting with notable senior citizens in Naundero

NAUNDERO: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held an open meeting with the notable senior citizens of his hometown, Naundero, on Sunday.

The purpose of the meeting was to know the difficulties they are facing and the facilities available in the growing town.

The senior citizens, which includes all old workers of the party and have been voting in its favour since the days of its founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, participated in the meeting.

They complained against uncleanliness in the entire town, unavailability of roads, trauma centre cardiac centre unavailability of required surgical and medical facilities including medicines in the Rural Health Center (RHC), Naundero and shortage of proper doctors.

They demanded that RHC be upgraded and made 100-bed capacity hospital where all necessary facilities be made available so that citizens should not go to Larkana to get treatment or surgery.

They told him that colleges and schools are facing acute shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff due to which education of boys and girls have been very adversely affected despite the fact that education minister recently visited these educational institutions after media reports but no improvement has been made so far.

Bilawal expressed his astonishment when he was informed about the availability of Benazir Bhutto Press Club by the general secretary. Bilawal asked his staff as to why he has not been informed about the availability of the club so far.

He said all required facilities would be made at the club which is in the name of his mother. PPP Sindh Chief Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, MPA Perveen Bashir Qaimkhani, City President Syed Arshad Shah Rashdi, senior most citizen and oldest party activist Muhammad Bux Katpar, Municipal Chairman Allah Dino Bhutto and others were also present on the occasion.

Later, Bilawal left for Garhi Khuda Bux, offered prayers and showered rose petals at the graves of his mother Benazir Bhutto, grandfather Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and others and flew to Karachi via Mohenjo Daro airport.
