A rickshaw driver has committed suicide after a traffic warden served him a challan of Rs1,000 in Faisalabad.
As per the details, the person was penalised for violating traffic rules in the Narrwala Chowk area of the city.
He then climbed an electric pole in protest and held the main line with bare hands to commit suicide, witnesses said.

By the time rescue teams reached the site of the incident, the rickshaw driver had already passed.
It merits a mention here that this is the second incident of its kind within a week as, on October 20, a rickshaw driver had set himself on fire after being served a hefty fine by a traffic cop in Karachi.
