KARACHI: An alleged robber was injured in a police encounter in Surjani town area of the city on Saturday.
According to rescue sources, Kashif, aged 25, son of Shah Nawaz, was injured in a police combat near Khuda Ki Basti.
He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Taimuria police claim to have arrested two car lifters from Buffer Zone area of the metropolis.
According to Station House Officer (SHO) Chaudhry Muhammad Tufail, a police party carried out a raid in Buffer Zone area on a tip-off and detained two vehicle lifters. He said that the police also recovered weapons, a stolen car and five motorcycles from their possession.
He added that several cases had already been registered against the accused in different police stations of the city.
