The Judicial Commission on Wednesday recommended six new names for appointment as the additional judges of Peshawar High Court (PHC) for a one-year period. The names were finalised during a meeting chaired by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry held at the Supreme Court. The Judicial Commission is the highest forum in the country to make appointments in the superior judiciary under the 18th Amendment. The recommended personalities are: Khalid Mehmood, Fazal-e-Haq Abbasi, Nasir Hussain Khan, Waqar Ahmad Shah, Qaiser Rashid and Malik Azmatullah.
