The world will have to wait a little longer for the Wonder Woman sequel, which will now expected to arrive in theaters in summer 2020.

Warner Bros made the announcement on Monday that Wonder Woman 1984 will now open on June 5, 2020. The film starring Gal Gadot as the Amazonian superhero had originally been slated for a November 2019 release.

Patty Jenkins is returning as director and has teased fans with tidbits about the series’ time jump to the 1980s.

The first Wonder Woman was a major blockbuster for Warner Bros′ DC Comics franchise. The film earned more than $800 million globally and went on to become the most successful live-action film directed by a woman.

As to why the release date was changed, Warners president of domestic distribution Jeff Goldstein in a statement said, “We had tremendous success releasing the first Wonder Woman film during the summer, so when we saw an opportunity to take advantage of the changing competitive landscape, we did.”

“This move lands the film exactly where it belongs.”

In a twinned move, Warner Bros also announced that it is taking Six Billion Dollar Man off its release calendar for now. The Mark Wahlberg adaptation of the classic TV show had been set to open on the date now occupied by Wonder Woman 1984. Warners, which picked up the project from the now-defunct Weinstein Co, has yet to announce a director.

Following this move, Sony moved its Charlie’s Angels reboot, starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska, back five weeks to November 1, 2019.
