The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has appointed two of its own leaders as heads of three important civic agencies in Gujranwala, a local media outlet reported on Thursday.

SA Hameed has been appointed to head the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) despite the fact that he lost in the previous two general elections.

Likewise, Aamir Sheikh has been appointed to head the city’s Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA). He was not given a party ticket to contest in the recently conducted general elections.

According to reports, other PTI leaders who were not given party tickets are also demanding they be appointed to posts in the government.
