ISLAMABAD: Tribal leaders in Kurram on Monday alleged that Assistant Commissioner (AC) Akbar Iftikhar and other officials from the local administration issued executive orders over a number of land dispute verdicts despite the absence of all parties even after the AC was transferred.
The allegations were made by tribal leaders at a press conference, adding that Iftikhar violated rules and regulations after issuing his transfer summary.
They claimed that he had “victimised them with injustice” as Iftikhar took bribes from their opponents over land disputes.
The tribal leaders also said that they intend to take legal action against him.
Social activist Shahid Kazmi urged authorities to initiate investigations against the accused if tribal conflict over the matter was to be avoided.
The assistant commissioner’s representative said that decisions over the issue were made on the basis of merit.
