CJ takes notice of grey telecom traffic, fixes hearing on Oct 8

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has taken notice of illegal grey telecommunication traffic causing billions in losses to the national exchequer and posing a potential threat to national security.

Taking notice of the issue, the CJP has fixed a hearing for the issue at Principal Seat Islamabad on October 8, according to a press release.

Notices have been issued to the Attorney General of Pakistan, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman, Interior Government Secretary, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General, and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director General to appear in court.
