ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea will organise a traditional cultural performance for the citizens of Rawalpindi and Lahore as part of its efforts to continuously strengthen cultural linkages between Pakistani and Korean people.

The cultural events will feature performances by the Gwangdae, which is a Korean traditional performing arts troupe of the Goseong Five Clowns. The troupe creates modernized performances which incorporate traditional folk arts such as Talchum (mask dance-drama), Pungmul (folk percussion ensemble) and Namsadang nori (all-male vagabond clown play).

The cultural events will be held at the Rawalpindi Arts Council on October 16 and at the Lahore Art Council (Al-Hamra Hall) on October 21st respectively. Those who wish to attend these events may contact the Rawalpindi Arts Council or the Lahore Art Council for the invitation.
