ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday ordered an inquiry against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and senior minister in Punjab government, Abdul Aleem Khan for allegedly submitting fake affidavits.
Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Sardar Mehmood Raza Khan heard a petition over the matter filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ayaz Sadiq.
Sadiq had approached the ECP over Aleem’s submission of fake affidavits. The PML-N leader claimed that Abdul Aleem Khan had also submitted fake affidavits with regards to the transfer of votes in NA-122.
The ECP accepted the PML-N leader’s petition and asked him to submit it in a sessions court.
