Fashion powerhouse Sana Safinaz has issued a warning notice to those who have or plan to make counterfeit products of their upcoming “Silk Collection 2018,” scheduled to hit the stores on September 29.
The notice, issued through their legal attorneys, Ali & Associates has been widely circulated and reads, “It is hereby made known to all that our client SS Fashion Resources is introducing their new collection ‘Silk Collection 2018’ under their trademark Sana Safinaz all over Pakistan on 29th September 2018. All fabric prints and designs to be offered are duly protected under applicable IP laws.”

It further stated that Sana Safinaz has taken the assistance of Law Enforcement Agencies in order to protect their exclusively designed fabrics.
“Sana Safinaz will not tolerate any infringement or sale of replicas by retailers, wholesellers, or online sellers and any person guilty as such shall face stern legal actions which may include police raids, action by FIA, civil suit and confiscation of goods solely at their own risk,” concluded the notice.

Sana Safinaz’s summer lawn collection is one of the most sought after one across the world and is usually sold out with minutes of being released.
The imitation industry has grown by leaps and bounds in Pakistan over the past couple of years and replicas of designer collections are usually available in the market before they even hit the stores of the designers. This often causes losses to the original designers.
