PESHAWAR: On the occasion of the World Tourism Day, the Hashoo Group, owners of Pakistan’s Pearl-Continental and the Marriott hotels, and the Hotel One brand, reaffirmed their commitment to boosting tourism in the country.

“We are the pioneers of hospitality in Pakistan, and we know that tourism has immense potential here. We operate the largest portfolio of hotels across the country, and we plan to add many more in the next few years, said Murtaza Hashwani, chairman & CEO of the Hashoo Group.

From Skardu in the north to Gwadar in the south, and every major city in between, “we offer local and international travelers exceptional service at our hotels,” he said. And through the Hashoo Foundation, “we provide much-needed vocational training to thousands of people who want to work in the hospitality industry,” he said.

“We join the new government in their commitment to building tourism in Pakistan, and we look forward to welcoming hundreds of thousands of guests to our hotels as more and more people take the opportunity to explore this beautiful country.” To mark the occasion, the Hashoo Group is hosting an event for Pakistan Travel Mart at the Pearl-Continental Hotel Peshawar where Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Tourism, Culture, Sports, Archaeology and Youth Affairs Mohammad Atif Khan will be the chief guest.

Hashoo Group is a main sponsor of the Pakistan Travel Mart for the second year in a row, which will be held in Karachi from Oct 2 to Oct 4 and is expected to draw thousands of local and international visitors. Over the past four decades, Hashoo Group set the benchmark for hospitality in the country.

With dozens of hotels across Pakistan and four new hotels opening in the next year in Malam Jabba, Mirpur, Multan, and Hayatabad, the company provides thousands of jobs both directly in its hotels, as well as indirectly through its supply chain. In support of the new government’s decision to set tourism at the top of its agenda, Hashoo Group will continue to be a key player in driving growth in the tourism industry.
