KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated #FixIt founder Alamgir Khan to represent the party for the NA-243 by-elections in Karachi.

NA-243 was among the four seats vacated by Prime Minister Imran Khan before taking oath as the country’s premier.

The #FixIt campaign gained traction in 2016 after Alamgir painted a picture of former Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on a road to draw attention towards the problem of open manholes in the metropolis.

During the recently conducted general elections, Imran Khan had defeated Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) leader Ali Raza Abidi by a wide margin.
