- PM Imran’s visit to KSA will be first foreign visit
ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to visit Saudi Arabia in the near future.
It was also reported that a final date for the primer’s visit to the Kingdom has not been finalised yet.
Meanwhile, media reports confirmed PM Imran’s first foreign tour will be to Saudi Arabia and said that preparations are underway for the tour.
“PM Imran will meet Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman,” reports said, adding that prime minister will also perform Umrah during the visit.
On August 12, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz congratulated PM Imran on his victory. The Saudi king also extended goodwill for the development and welfare of the people of Pakistan. Moreover, the crown prince had also extended wishes to PM Imran on assuming office.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo paid a visit to Pakistan and met Foreign Affairs Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to discuss US-Pak ties. Pompeo was the first foreign dignitary to visit the country following PM Imran’s victory.
