Balochistan cabinet swells to 12 as two new ministers take oath

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has inducted two new members in the cabinet after they took oath on Saturday.

Acting Balochistan Governor Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo administered the oath to the new members of the provincial cabinet, Abdul Rehman and Mir Asad Baloch, in a ceremony held in Governor House.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan, ministers and other members of the provincial assembly were also present on the occasion. The portfolios of new ministers will be announced later.

The provincial cabinet’s strength now stands at 12, after the new inductions.

On August 27, ten members of the Balochistan Assembly took oath as ministers. Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai had administered the oath.

On August 30, the ten members were allotted various portfolios.

Mir Mohammad Arif Mohammad Hassani was given the finance portfolio, whereas Noor Mohammad Dumar was given public health engineering.

Moreover, Sardar Sarfaraz Chakar Domki was assigned the culture, tourism and archives portfolio, Nawabzada Tariq Khan Magsi was given the portfolio of communication and works and Engineer Zamrak Khan given Agriculture and cooperatives portfolio.

Similarly, Zahoor Ahmed Buledi was assigned the portfolio of information, whereas Mir Zia Ullah Langov was assigned the portfolio of forest and wildlife and Mir Naseebullah Marri was given the provincial health portfolio.

Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani was assigned food, law and parliamentary affairs, Saleem Ahmed Khosa was given the portfolio of home and tribal affairs and Mitha Khan Kakar was made the advisor for livestock and dairy development.

On August 19, Balochistan CM Jam Kamal Khan took the oath as 16th chief minister of the province.
