SRINAGAR: Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in occupied Kashmir’s Islamabad district, KMS reported.
The troops killed the youth identified as Bilal Ahmed Butt during a cordon and search operation at Ranipora in Achabal area of the district, late last night.
Earlier, an Indian policeman was injured when unidentified persons attacked a police picket in the area.
Unidentified gunmen shot dead an activist of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Hakim-ur-Rehman Sultani, outside his home at Reshipora in Bomai area of Sopore. Hakim-ur-Rehman Sultani was recently released from illegal detention.
The APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that India is hatching one conspiracy after another to crush the Kashmiris’ ongoing peaceful freedom movement. He said this while talking to a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement from Jammu that called on him in Srinagar and discussed the latest situation of occupied Kashmir. The delegation was led by the JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem.
The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement in Srinagar, urged India to reciprocate Pakistan’s offer to settle all outstanding issues including the Kashmir dispute through talks.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have suspended train service in south Kashmir.
In August alone, Indian troops martyred 34 Kashmiris including a woman. Two of those martyred were killed in a fake encounter.
