Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) President Gianni Infantino has accepted Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat’s invitation to visit Pakistan, according to PFF officials.
The PFF president had extended the invitation to the FIFA president during their meeting at the FIFA Headquarters in Zurich on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Infantino had highlighted Pakistan’s “huge population and tremendous potential” while assuring FIFA’s assistance for the growth of football in the country.
Furthermore, the FIFA Forward Programme and its implementation in Pakistan and unfinished Goal projects were also discussed during the meeting.
“The core feature of the FIFA Forward Programme is to provide tailor-made solutions to member associations and help fuel their football development,” said the PFF president while speaking to the Pakistani media after the meeting.
Infantino has agreed to resume work on Sukkur, Jacobabad and Khanewal projects.
“PFF is seriously concerned about Goal projects in Pakistan. The FIFA president has addressed our concerns in this regard,” Hayat informed.
