If you spend your day in a room with TV switched on or when you go back home after work or school, it’s your time to catch up on the 8 pm headlines or cartoons, one thing that is common on EVERY TV CHANNEL, after every five minutes are the TVCs.

We have noticed that the TV channels in Pakistan tend to air more TVCs than actual content for the viewers. Is it because the people can be easily manipulated into purchasing products via such means or do the TV channels have limited content and this the only way they can earn money, we would leave it up to you to decide that.

But it is safe to say that the jingles that air on TV tends to get stuck in your head, maybe because of its catchy tune or the annoying slogans, it can make you remember that specific brand even if you don’t interact with the brand directly.

What’s funny is that no matter what we all have one of those days when you just can’t stop singing them.

Annoying or not, we list down some of the Pakistani Television Commercials that we won’t be able to forget…maybe ever.

NATIONAL KETCHUP

We apologise beforehand because this TVC will make you hungry.

OMORE

Omore ka bite lo zaraaaa… I bet it is stuck in your head now.

TARANG

LEMON MAX BAR

We fail to understand why they’d rip off the tune from an Indian song.

DETTOL SOAP

How cute are the kids trying to fight germs with this ad and of course we love/hate the jingle.

QARSHI JAM-E-SHIRIN

We still love Jam-e-Shirin, because ‘light light refreshing…Qarshi Jam-e-Shirin‘.

Now, before we end this piece, we want the 90s kids to remember the ad jingles from their time because some of them just don’t seem to get out of our heads.

TELEFUN

We all know that we can never say the number 090078601 without singing it.

DING DONG

We can never forget this Billi.

COCOMO

Because ‘Cocomo, Mujhe Bhi Do’

Last, but not the least

NAZ PAN MASALA

Extremely old, but so nostalgic. We bet you are singing it now.

Think we missed out on any? Let us know.
