Iranian Foreign Minister (FM) Javad Zarif has called his meetings with the civilian and military leadership of Pakistan as fruitful.
Taking to Twitter, Javad wrote, “Fruitful meetings in Islamabad with PM @ImranKhanPTI, Army Chief, Speaker & Foreign & Finance Ministers. In my 8th trip to Pakistan, I was honored to be the first minister received by new govt. Emphasis on expanding bilateral, regional & global partnership. Neighbors our priority.”

Earlier in a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Zarif said that Iran wished continued progress and prosperity to the people of Pakistan.
He delivered a message of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and invited PM Imran for the upcoming Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit in Iran, in October 2018.
Both Pakistan and Iran are members of the organisation. Iran currently holds the chair of the organisation.
