PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has directed the administration of Khyber tribal district to take action against ice drug producing factories.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan and Justice Nasir Mehfooz issued these directions while hearing a petition filed against the use of drugs by youth, mostly students. The court observed that the deputy commissioner of Khyber district would have to face action if he didn’t act against ice drug factories.
The court also ordered deployment of police personnel outside schools, colleges and hostels for checking of ice drugs as there were reports that both girl and boys students are becoming addicts of the drugs in Peshawar. Police was directed to take strict action against the drug users and peddlers in Peshawar and submit report before the next hearing.
