The Excise and Taxation Department on Wednesday contradicted a story, titled E&T secretary trying to fudge numbers?, carried by the newspaper on Tuesday, June 7. The department said the report was baseless and fabrication and had no regard to the undeniable facts and rebut-able record that proved that not a single agreement mentioned in the report with any one of the companies referred was either processed or even signed ever by the incumbent E&T secretary.
