The nominated members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet are locked in a dispute over the distribution of portfolios even before they have taken their oaths for the posts, a local media outlet reported on Monday.
According to reports, previously nominated as the special assistant to the chief minister, Shah Mohammad Khan Wazir declined to accept the post and said he would be an ordinary members of the house. Other members of the cabinet are also unhappy with the posts allotted to them.
Approximately half of the ministries in the KP cabinet are still vacant.
Wazir alleged that former KP chief minister Pervez Khattak and personalities associated with him misled Prime Minister Imran Khan over the nomination of the provincial cabinet.
The second phase of forming the cabinet will be finalised after the by-elections, according to reports.
