FAISALABAD: A man killed his daughter for honour in Faisalabad on Sunday after which he was arrested by the police.
According to details, accused Ikram hailing from Rasool Nagar, Jhumra Road, Faisalabad gave the hand of his 22-year-old daughter identified as Rabia, serving as Nurse in DHQ Hospital, in marriage to a father of two children.
The girl was not pleased with her husband and used to spend most of her time in the hospital or at her parent’s home. She wanted to take separation from her husband but her parents were against this.
Ikram asked Rabia to go to the house of her husband but she refused which led to an exchange of hot words between the father and daughter after which the accused attacked Rabia with bricks and killed her by hitting her in the head.
The police, over the complaint of the neighbours, arrested the accused who confessed to the crime. They registered a case against him and started an investigation.
