FIA arrests 19 persons for human trafficking, defrauding public, other offences

As many as 19 persons were arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for allegedly being involved in violation of the copyrights law, defrauding the public in the name of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and human smuggling.

FIA Additional Director Sajid Akram supervised a special campaign of the agency during which the arrests were made.

Suspects that were arrested on charges pertaining to human smuggling include Amir Hussain, Bilal, Adil, Azam Ali, Rukhsar Ali, Sakhi Hussain, Shehzad, Ijaaz, Naeem Sarwar, Usman Iqbal, Asghar, Niaz Rasool, Imran, Khalid Mehmood, Arshad, Nisar Ahmed, Ashiq Ali, Zawar and Liaqat Ali.
