The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has called upon the federal government to resolve a dispute pertaining to its boundary with the capital because residents living in the overlapping area failed to pay tax causing the civic body to lose Rs357 million annually, according to a local media outlet.

The issue is between the RCB and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the former has written a letter to the Defence Ministry in this regard.

An RCB official claimed, “the Cantonment Act 1924 clearly defined the boundaries of the cantonment limits as per a notification of the federal government.”

Moreover, the disputed area is spread across 2,509 acres.
