Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has started formulating the first 100-day action plan in which several federal secretaries will be transferred along with the appointment of new high-ranking officials, media reports said.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan chaired a meeting on Thursday which was attended by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahangir Tareen and other senior party leaders. Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary Arbab Shahzad was also invited as a special guest, reports said.

According to some inputs, the PTI has decided to replace the heads of federal and provincial organisations for its initial 100 days. The recommendation to replace the heads was put forward by Arbad Shahzad.

The list of federal secretaries to be transferred has also been prepared besides the appointment of high-ranking officials.

Chairpersons of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), Pakistan Railways, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Pakistan Steel Mills, and other public sector organisations are likely to be replaced, media reports claimed.

Reports said acclaimed experts in their field of work will be posted in the relevant government organisations, adding that new postings will be made in the first 100 days after which the performance of these officers will be reviewed.

On May 20, PTI Chairman Imran Khan had unveiled its first 100-day agenda if elected as the ruling government in the July 25 elections. Addressing the event, the PTI chief had said, “The purpose of disclosing the agenda is to change the pre-existing policies,” and added the agenda includes transformation in governance, revitalisation of economic growth and ensuring the country’s national security.
