The Pakistan Football Federation on the directives of its President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has increased the prize money for the Pakistan Premier League.
He issued the directions in a meeting held here at the Football House. According to the details, the winners will take away Rs7,00,000. Previously the winner’s prize money was Rs6,00,000.
The runners up will be awarded Rs5,00,000 instead of Rs4,00,000 while the third position winners will be granted Rs4,00,000instead of Rs300,000.
“The increase has been made to encourage the players to put in their best efforts in the game,” said Faisal. Meanwhile, the announcement from the PFF president was welcomed by all the participating teams of the league and the followers of the game. They feel that the increase in prize money and incentives will be beneficial for the promotion of the game and football lovers of Pakistan.
