A sub-inspector was killed in a suspected targeted attack in Karachi, according to police and the slain officer’s son alleged that a political party had asked his father to vote for their candidate and he had not obliged the request due to which the incident happened.
Sub-Inspector Azam Khan was fired upon by armed pillion riders as he came out of his house.
He received a bullet injury on his chest and died at the spot.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Ali Baloch said, “It appeared to be a targeted killing incident.”
