PAKPATTAN: A seven-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being raped on Monday in Pakpattan.
According to police reports, the incident took place in a suburban area of the city when an armed youth took the girl to a deserted place and raped her. The suspect fled the incident.
The family members searched for the girl and found her lying in a vacant lot. She was taken to the hospital where a medical examination confirmed rape.
The police have registered a case against the accused and started raids for his arrest.
