LAHORE: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast that Eidul Azha will fall on August 22.
The Department said on Friday that the Zil-Haj moon will likely be sighted on August 12.
The month’s moon “will be born on Saturday afternoon” and can be viewed on Sunday evening, said the department.
Eidul-Azha is likely to be celebrated on August 21 in Saudi Arabia.
Eidul Azha is celebrated by Muslims across the world on the 10th day of Zil-Haj and commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son under obedience to God.
