Commission seeks record of Saleem’s cell phone, e-mails

The judicial commission on the murder of senior journalist Saleem Shahzad on Monday directed Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and mobile phone companies to preserve the data of the deceased’s cell phone and submit it on July 6. The commission also directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to provide record of Shahzad’s e-mail accounts so that clues to his possible assassins could be traced. Justice Saqib Nisar is heading the commission while the other members of the commission are Federal Shariat Court Chief Justice Agha Rafiq Ahmad, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Binyamin, Inspector General of Police Punjab Javed Iqbal and PFUJ President Pervaiz Shaukat.
