Korean Ambassador calls on Chief Minister

Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Pakistan Choongjo Choi called on Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at Chief Minister’s House on Monday to discuss issues of mutual interest. The Korean Ambassador talked about the visit to Korea of the chief minister, who led a delegation to Korea, and the development taking place in connection with the investment for various projects in Pakistan particularly in the Sindh province. He said that after the visit and the seminar, many investors have expressed their willingness to come to Sindh and personally see the possibility of investments in various schemes. The diplomat further stated that KOSPO and Hyundai have expressed their willingness to set up joint ventures with the Sindh government for installation of a 200MW power plant in the first phase that will be later increased to up to 2,000MW. Shah assured the ambassador that the provincial government will provide maximum facilities to the intending investors. The meeting was also attended by Adviser to Chief Minister on Investment Zubair Motiwala, the Korean Consul General in Karachi, Sindh Investment Board Secretary Younis Dagha and Secretary to Chief Minister Alamuddin Bullo among others.
