ISLAMABAD: Bahria University conducted exclusive International Summer School programmes on “International Business Skills” and “Community Wellness: Psychotherapy & Social Change Process” at Bahria University Islamabad. The programmes were conducted by Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences Professor Dr Sander Schroevers and Dr Patricia Omidian, PhD in Medical Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley USA.
The Summer School on International Business Skill helped participants in enhancing International Communication skills along with providing a professional experience of the outside world. Students learned both theoretical and practical knowledge on how to deal internationally and getting hands-on experience with various Business and Industry Leaders in the International Business Market. International Leadership, Global Negotiating, Global Job hunting were the major aspects of Business Skills Summer School. The summer school on community wellness provided students to develop an understanding of community-based wellness and resilience, as well as some basic techniques to work in community settings. Participants experienced the skills needed for community based mental health program development.
International Summer Schools are a regular feature of Bahria University which provides an opportunity for students to avail International exposure. BU Islamabad Campus Pro-Rector/ Director General Rear Admiral (r) Shahid Saeed, while speaking at the closing ceremony, highlighted the efforts of Bahria University to groom the personalities of students through such summer school programs to become responsible global citizens.
