Investigation into the incident is expedited. In this regard the military leadership as well as other concerned quarters would be contacted.
Earlier the maiden meeting of Abbottabad Commission could not be held on June 25 as former IG Police Abbas Kahn had to go abroad
The government had set up a four member commission headed by senior Supreme Court Judge Justice Javed Iqbal. The other members of the commission were Abbas Khan AShraf Jahangir Qazi, Lt Gen (retd) Nadeem Ahmed.
It is indeed very strange that all news of the Committee and proceedings so far have just ceased– what is being done, one would like to know please? Also, as a tax payer and citizen of Abbottabad, I wonder how truly 'democratic' and 'representative' this so-called committee is?– a judge/justice, a couple of retired bureaucrats, a retired fauji? Why is there no representative from Abbottabad itself, to voice the concerns of the people of the town itself? Maybe, instead of a politician or something, for a change, professional eg doctor, lawyer, professor etc from Abbottabad should be immediately nominated.
Indeed. And why should info be only provided to Sectery Cabinet onlt till 31st July (past date)? Why this condition? Should be open, so long as committe is meeting info may b provided…
