Armed clash between two groups claim three lives

ATTOCK: At least three people were killed in a clash between two groups in the Jand area of Attock, a private TV channel reported.

Two groups of the same village fought over an old dispute that began with harsh exchange of words and eventually armed attack from both the groups. As a result, Mazhar Hussain, son of Khan Zaman, and Muhammad Siraj, son of Rab Nawaz died on the spot while four others sustained serious injuries.

Police shifted all the dead bodies and injured to the Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital in Jand where Muhammad Fayyaz, another from injured, succumbed to his injuries. Two other men identified as Muhammad Shahzad and Muhammad Akram were later shifted to Rawalpindi following serious injuries.

Till filing of this report, no First Investigation Report (FIR) was registered. However, the police have launched an investigation.
