Pakistan is getting a new Prime Minister very soon and people’s excitement is over the moon. Preparations for the oath-taking of the new government are underway and people cannot wait for the momentous occasion, expected to be held in the second week of August.
Amidst all this, Pakistani actor Gohar Rasheed has requested the foreign ministry to invite Imran Khan’s former wife, Jemima Goldsmith for the oath-taking ceremony as a gesture of thanks.
In a Twitter post, Rasheed wrote, “It is my humble request to the foreign ministry to please invite Ms JemimaKhan as an honourable guest in the oath-taking ceremony of the new prime minister of Pakistan,” adding, “We all owe her a special thanks due to many reasons and this would be the best tribute to a sincere friend.”

The suggestion was well-received by the public and the people thought that it was a great idea. However, several others were of the view that inviting Jemima might hurt the sentiments of Imran’s wife, Bushra Bibi.
Khan is set to become the prime minister-elect as his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, led the National Assembly tally with 116 seats as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released results of all 270 NA seats that were polled on July 25 across the country.
