QUETTA: The Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has emerged as the largest political party in Balochistan following the recent general elections, according to details provided by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regarding the number of votes attained by each party.
In the recent polls, the BAP secured 439,635 votes while independent candidates came second with a total 318,787 vote tally and the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) secured the third position with 261,742 votes.
MMA was closely followed by the Balochistan National Party (BNP) with 126,854 votes.
Moreover, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) clinched the fifth spot with 109,488 votes and the Pakistan People’s party (PPP) received 57,663 votes.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) bagged 28,922 votes.
