National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has opened another branch in Umer Kot, Thar Desert area of Sindh. NBP Commercial and Retail Banking Group SEVP/Group Chief Dr Asif A Brohi inaugurated the branch. The branch will serve all treasury functions of the government and around 20,000 potential account holders. The event was attended by the regional head based in Hyderabad and regional management team of NBP as well as the notables of the area. Dr Brohi while addressing on the occasion said that this branch will play a major role in Umer Kot and its suburbs as these are less banked areas where a lot of potential exists which is yet to be explored.
