Govt to start four new colleges in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: The Educational Department has decided to start four new colleges including two colleges for boys and two for girls from September this year to solve the serious problems regarding the admission of the inter-pass students.

The process of appointing of staff and principal has been started and the appointments will be completed in this month. As many as 40,000 inter pass students who passed with third, second or first division are forced to abandon their studies due to high merit in connection with admission into the colleges.

Two new colleges have been established in Dhoke Syedan and Dhamiyal. Admissions of 1st year will be started in these colleges this year while the admissions of 3rd year will be launched in October after the result of intermediate.

It has been further decided to start a second shift of the first year in higher secondary schools. Classes will be held in every Girl’s secondary school and the merit will be fixed 750 to 800.
