–Senator Chaudhry Sarwar says PTI will come to power on basis of work carried out in KP
LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate for Lahore’s NA-124, Chaudhary Zaheer Ahmed, on Tuesday, announced joining the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
PTI leaders Senator Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Shafqat Mehmood, Nauman Qaiser and Malik Naseeb Awan were also present on the occasion.
Chaudhary Sarwar said that PTI was not supported by any “Khalaai Makhlooq”, but they would come to power with the help of people. “Every political party should be given complete independence to participate in the elections,” he said.
The senator also said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were responsible for their dismemberment because they couldn’t do anything for the welfare of the people.
“PTI is coming to power on the basis of popular support and our splendid work in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP),” he said, adding that the results of all surveys were in favour of PTI as well.
“PTI is ready to face all challenges that it might face after coming to power under the leadership of Imran Khan because we are a team with an agenda,” said Ch Sarwar.
He also said that people who always came to power after rigging were now leveling allegations on PTI.
