KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) dismissed corruption charges against Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi, reported a local English newspaper.
Former fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz had leveled charges against Sethi but after the complaint verification, the NAB did not find any substance in it and dismissed the complaint declaring it ‘Not Fit for Action (NFA)’.
It is stated in a NAB letter, dated May 14, that complaint against Najam Sethi has been declared NFA which means the investigation has revealed nothing untoward and the allegations have been found totally unsubstantiated.
According to sources, NAB had repeatedly summoned Sarfraz Nawaz to provide proofs against Sethi but he did not appear before NAB to come to join proceedings and failed to provide relevant documents in this regard.
Meanwhile, the PCB has already started a legal process against Sarfraz Nawaz and he has been barred from making any comment against PCB chairman.
