KARACHI: Pakistan is set to host the second edition of the professional wrestling entertainment in Karachi and Islamabad next month as more than 20 wrestlers will come to the country to showcase their skills.
The officials from Ring of Pakistan (RoP) addressed the media in Karachi along with wrestler Badshah Pehlwan Khan, Rebel, Tiny Iron, and Bram to announce the details of the event.
Director of RoP, Imran Hussain Shah, told media that the first event will be held in Karachi on August 29th and the second show will be held in Islamabad on August 31st.
“Some of the top wrestlers, including female wrestlers, have confirmed their participation for the show and the final list will soon be shared,” Shah said, adding RoP is trying to incorporate Pakistan’s local talent in professional wrestling.
“We already have our own Badshah Khan here. He is Pakistan’s front-runner in pro wrestling,” CEO of RoP said, adding traditional wrestling of Pakistan is different from the professional wrestling.
“We will find talent here in Pakistan and will train them in academies so they can also opt for professional wrestling in the future,” he said.
