LAHORE: Former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday denied allegations of providing any form of support to Reham Khan for her upcoming book.
“I am neither behind Reham’s book nor gave her a single penny for it directly or indirectly,” Sharif said during an interview to a private channel.
The PML-N President said he is not behind Reham’s book and gives no value to the allegations stated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan.
Sharif further said he has met Reham only once in his life.
I met Reham Khan sahiba only once when she interviewed me in 2014 for PTV programme. Imran Khan sahib is in the habit of cooking up lies. I filed three defamation cases against him for three allegations. Neither he nor his lawyer appeared in the court to respond. #SSonDunyaTV

During the interview, Sharif clarified regarding alleged allegations against him by PTI chief, “Khan Sb said I gave Rs27 billion to Reham for the book through an alleged front man Javed Sadiq.”
“The second allegation he has levelled against me is that I offered him Rs10 billion to stay mum on the Panama Papers case,” he continued.
“Imran’s third allegation against me is that I took Rs1-2 billion in commission in Multan Metro Bus project through a partnership with a Chinese company,” the former Punjab chief minister said.
Sharif upheld that he sent notices to PTI Chairman following each allegation.
Moreover, during the interview, Sharif said that neither Khan nor his counsel appeared during the court hearings.
