Water quality of private tankers to be tested by WASA

RAWALPINDI: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) was asked by Divisional Commissioner (DC) captain (R) Saif Anjum to test the quality of water being given by private water tankers.

The DC chaired a meeting in light of directives pertaining to the matter were given by the Supreme Court (SC).

“At present, more than 1,110 tube wells are working day and night in Rawalpindi and Islamabad including 410 tube wells in the garrison city which extract underground water and there is a need to start work on bringing water from nearby dams,” said WASA Managing Director Raja Shaukat Mehmood.
