RAWALPINDI: Union Council-34 councilor Zeeshan Mehdi, an additional general secretary of the city chapter of the Pakistan People’s Party, announced to join the Pakistan Muslim League-N here on Friday.
After joining the PML-N at a public meeting held in connection of NA-62 candidate Ch Danial Tanveer, he said that the national agenda of the former ruling party, aimed at bringing democratic values, progress and prosperity in the country impressed him to join the party.
Zeeshan said that PPP under the leadership of former president Asif Ali Zardari had ignored democratic values and the local leadership under the umbrella of Paracha’s family and had fielded a fragile candidate in the constituency – NA-62.
