PM terms Pak relations with Saudi Arabia as most vital

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has directed the Pakistani Envoys to concert their energies and efforts for promotion of Pakistan’s trade, economic and political interests and pro-actively work for enhancing the overall image of the country abroad.
He was talking to Pakistan’s Ambassadors / High Commissioner to Saudi Arabia Mr Muhammad Naeem Khan, to Tajikistan Mr Amjad Hussain B. Sial and to Singapore Syed Hassan Javed, at the PM’s House here on Thursday.
The PM termed Pakistan’s relations with Saudi Arabia as most vital and asked the Ambassador designate to undertake every endeavour possible for further strengthening of these multi-faceted ties through enhanced high level exchanges and regular interaction between the two countries.
The Prime Minister underlined the important role of Singapore for Pakistan’s bid for becoming Full Dialogue Partner with ASEAN and directed the High Commissioner to Singapore to put in every effort possible for registering Singapore’s support for Pakistan’s case.
The Prime Minister while referring to his recent visit to Tajikistan stated that Tajikistan was the gateway for Pakistan to Central Asia and his government attaches highest importance to strengthening of its trade, economic and investment ties with that country.
The Prime Minister also directed the Envoys to pay special attention to the welfare and well being of Pakistani community in their respective country of accreditation. He assured the Ambassadors / High Commissioner his and his government’s complete support for carrying out their missions and in ensuring the consistency in the trade and investment policies to help the Ambassadors / High Commissioner attract foreign investment in the country.
