- Division issues SOPs for employees of its attached departments
ISLAMABAD: It wouldn’t be possible anymore for officials of the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) to contact directly the president or the prime minister for official/personal matters by passing the division, as the CADD has issued formal standard operating procedures (SOPs) for employees of its attached departments/organisations to put an end to the practice.
Taking strong exception of the violations of the set rules, the CADD has issued SOPs for its employees to stop their frequent and unchecked visit to the division and meeting senior officials without prior permission and appointment as it gave a bad name to the division.
A circular issued by the CADD reads that officers/officials of the attached departments/bodies frequently visit this division to call upon the senior officers without prior appointment and without prior permission of heads of their offices and contact higher officers like of the president and the prime minister for official/personal matters without bringing it into the knowledge of CADD.
Resultantly, work and schedule of this division is badly affected and this practice reflected bad on the CADD as an organisation. Therefore, it has been decided that the officers/officials of the attached departments or subordinate officers of the CADD Division shall adhere to the following instruction as SOPs.
The officers/officials working in the attached departments/autonomous bodies will route their request/applications through proper channel i.e., head of their organisation instead of addressing these directly to the secretary/additional secretary and the joint secretary of CADD.
It was directed that no officer/official of the attached departments or autonomous bodies of CADD shall verbally or in writing approach higher offices like the president and the prime minister etc by passing CADD for any matter official/personal.
Besides, the circular reads that the officers/officials of the attached departments or the autonomous bodies shall seek prior appointment for the meeting from the CADD officers through their staff stating this purpose/agenda of the meeting/visit.
It was directed that no officer/official of the attached departments or the autonomous bodies of CADD will demand any file from the dealing officials of the division. It was strongly directed that the officials/officers should strictly follow the instructions.
