In the backdrop of PML-N declaration that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has not more than Rs 30 million in foreign assets, the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) on Wednesday publicised what it called “the Sharifs’ total assets” to make the masses aware of the PML-N leader’s worth.
Commenting on the statement by Shahbaz that he would bring all his foreign assets to Pakistan, APML spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said the chief minister should end the political jugglery and Shahbaz should
disclose his total foreign assets if he was honest enough.
Fawad said the APML “will appreciate the return of Pakistan’s wealth from foreign bank accounts back to the country, however, the disclosure by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif about his assets was astonishing, as the Sharifs’ have mega businesses running in various foreign countries”.
Disclosing the foreign businesses and properties of the Sharif family, the APML spokesman said Nabeel Chaudary and Aqeel Chaudary had been employed to look after the property business of Shahbaz Sharif in New Jersey that was worth of millions of dollars.
Similarly other business of the Sharif family include a company noted for being the biggest investment and property related concern engaged in construction of luxurious houses, suits and villas, while other companies doing business for the Sharif family include Mayfare, Baywater and Kingston.
Fawad said the Sharif family had also a stronghold of businesses in Saudi Arabia and Qatar that the Sharif brothers started in their exile.
He said if Shahbaz had been
sincere enough, he should have
disclosed all the details of his assets in foreign countries.
